ABOUT THE ARTIST.
Siobhan McMorran is a British contemporary artist, currently pursuing a Master’s in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins. Their work explores the delicate balance between nature and urban environments, drawing on their deep reverence for the natural world and the tension between organic and man-made elements. Through their use of monochrome ink on canvas, Siobhan McMorran captures intricate details of landscapes, weaving movement and fluidity into each piece.
Inspired by the natural world, Siobhan McMorran is particularly drawn to places of emotional significance and those that seem to carry untold stories. Their practice is grounded in an intimate connection to the environments they portray - places they have physically visited, where the landscape feels alive with the potential to communicate. Themes of belonging, isolation, and the interplay between memory and place resonate strongly in their work.
Siobhan McMorran’s art is an ongoing exploration of the relationships we share with the spaces we inhabit, the memories they evoke, and the stories they tell.
